Why use epoxy?

An epoxy coating can be used to protect the finish of your coins, making them more durable and attractive. Although most coins will be fine without it, coins that are likely to be exposed to the elements a great deal or coins that use glow-in-the-dark colors should be protected with epoxy. It.s also a nice touch if you want your coin to be extra special. Epoxy is clear, but will alter the appearance of your colors slightly. It will give a smooth surface to your coin and is not needed on a coin made with imitation hard enamel.
